The Maison Carrée (the French translates roughly as ’square house’) is a Roman temple of the Imperial Cult, dedicated to the young heirs of M. Vipsanius Agrippa, but later converted to a Christian church, and now being restored (thus the scaffold covering on the right). It sits in a large square (formerly the Roman forum) in Nimes, Gard, France.
